Garnishes
A question to ponder...
Are garnishes on your food important?? Would you mind a restaurant/ cafe/ eating house serving you food without any garnishing??
I guess, appearance wise it is indeed eye catching if a dish served to you is nicely garnish isn't it??

Went to Bakerzin to try some of their desserts again! =)) They have some really nicely garnish desserts. Do pop by to try next time if u're free!
STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS so do have some desserts when you are feeling stressed to de-stress!

 I guess a menu does play a very important role in the food choice you choose. Just take a look at their menu! So attractive but yet simple in a way. I guess most people would prefer to look at pictures hence they even gave their menu a name: Visual Memories...

This is what I have ordered... Waffle Ice Cream... A very simple but quite attractive dessert. Just by the sauce it makes a difference to the waffles. 2 triangular pieces of waffle with one leaning against the other piece. It creates an illusion of a  3D image to you isn't it?? Rather than one lying flat down, this sure looks more attractive! ♥

 This is what they show in their menu and what they served me! I'm impressed because they do looked similar! It's really very hard to get similar food served to you compared to those pictures they put in their menu don't you think so??

 Li Whey and I went together to have our desserts de-stress and this is what she ordered. Warm chocolate cake! Very well garnished too! Love the way they placed the strawberries, raspberries and the cute looking blueberry! ♥ Simple yet attractive!

I'm sure most of you will love donuts because of it's attractive appearance.
But, not only are these donuts here attractive in appearance, their garnishings and setting plays a very important role too!
Big thanks to Ms Chin who took the effort to prepare and garnish those donuts early in the day! =))

NIE Learning Festival

The NIE Learning Festival was held on the 29th of September 2010.
I was appointed to be a faciliator for this event and thus i was present there to have fun and to help my fellow NIE mates! =))

The event had a Japanese theme and the participants got a chance to make
Matcha cheesecake
Teriyaki chicken in their bento box set! ♥

Popiah Making ♥

Went back home on the weekends and my mum bought popiah to make and eat for dinner!
This is not the first time i made popiah but still i did not managed to make a nice looking one like those they sell in the coffee shops... I guess i'm too greedy as i stuffed my popiah with as much ingredients as i can. =P

Heard from my mum it's homemade. But im not sure how true isit.

Mooncakes and Lanterns..

I know i'm a little late to post this post about mooncakes and lanterns as the lunar calender 15th day of the 8th month has passed. But i want to share this with all of you!

Mooncake festival in the past few years has got better with more creativity in their products and even their attractive packaging!!!!
Let me share with you something creative in terms of design and it's worth...

Isn't this beautiful????? It's a BAG!!!! A BAG!!! When I first saw it, it was on my mum's dressing table. I even asked her if she bought a new bag. It was only then she said yes, i bought a bag is my bag nice? I find it strange as she would not buy such bags which to her is not practical.
It's a mooncake box!!!!!!!! Aren't these people creative?? If i were to have kept quiet would u think otherwise?
